Citrix Receiver/Worspace App on Windows. As an alternative to launching your Citrix Desktop through the website portal you can set-up Citrix up to launch through the Citrix Receiver/Workspace application. The Citrix Workspace app allows for secure, unified access to all of your SaaS apps, web apps, virtual apps, files, and desktops. If your company uses Citrix, simply login with your company credentials to access all of the resources you need to be productive from anywhere.
Citrix has replaced the Citrix Receiver with the Citrix Workspace app. In most cases, the Workspace app is backward-compatible, and should not require additional maintenance. If auto-update is enabled on your device, the app should update automatically. You'll notice a blue Citrix icon in your system tray or App Store representing the Workspace app.

At Indiana University, the app allows client devices to connect to IUanyWare, delivering a growing number of popular applications to students, faculty, and staff on or off campus. No additional application installation is required.
The Citrix Workspace app is available for many different types of clients, including (but not limited to) Windows, macOS, iOS (that is, iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch), and Android tablets and smartphones, providing a uniform experience across all clients.
